Dr Una Murray and PhD. Candidate Tomy Ncube attending the ECMN 25 conference in Bonn

PhD. Candidate Tomy Ncube and Associate Prof. Una Murray attended the 3rd Annual ECMN conference (8-10 July 2025) held in Bonn. This year’s conference was hosted by the United Nations University – Institute for Environment and Human Security (UNU-EHS). At the conference, Tomy Ncube gave an oral presentation derived from work co-authored with Dr. Una Murray; Dr. Tekalign Ayalew Mengiste; Bethlehem Girma; Darius Smith; Yeshwas Admasu. The work is based on a forthcoming paper written under the Migration, Climate Change and Social protection (MiCASP) project funded by Research Ireland and run in collaboration with our Ethiopian partner, OSSREA/Addis Ababa University. The team’s paper was presented on the panel ‘Diverse Climate (Im)mobilities: Social Cohesion and (Trans)local Networks’.
